Let us not repeat this mistake with Overwatch 2. They took away the experience we legally purchased and switched it out with something completely different. We trusted Blizzard to protect and respect our rights as consumers and they failed us miserably. So what can we do as a community, moving forward?įirst of all, as consumers, we must learn from our mistakes. There is no going back to change the past. There is no hope of ever going back to the way things were before. And now I think it is time that we must simply come to acceptance. What once was a beautiful and original game in a sea of monotony has become just like Fortnite, Call of Duty, CS:GO, and the rest.Īt first we denied it. The game will remain unrewarding for anyone unwilling to open their wallet. ![]() Collecting skins is no longer a core gameplay feature, but rather a novelty for a few select collectors with some cash to burn. ![]() The skins and new heroes will forevermore be locked away behind a battle pass that nobody asked for. We will never relive that amazing experience we had in Overwatch 1. Overwatch 2 and its monetization models are here to stay. I have finally come to terms with the fact that Overwatch 1 is dead.
